Anyone paying attention to the Irish company Steorn will be familiar with their claims of ‘free, clean and constant energy’ producing Orbo technology. Following a rather quiet two years the company has suddenly sprung into the public view again by holding an extensive public demonstration of their technology in Dublin, Ireland over a six week period ending on January 31.

It appears that little has been spared in the way of expenses to publicize and carry out this demonstration. We see high quality video presentations, an extensive and robust web site, a 24/7 staff on hand, lots of expensive testing equipment and numerous well made and elegant motors. The company, it seems, is hinging its future on what is currently happening in Dublin.

I am sure that most interested observers will have asked themselves, like me, “why are they doing this?”. Thinking over this question I see four possible reasons for their behavior.

1. They know full well they don’t have overunity technology and are putting on an elaborate scam, hoping at the end of the month they will be able to hoodwink lots of people into paying €419.00 for a year’s subscription to the SKDB.

2. They believe they have overunity technology, but are mistaken.

3. They are insane and the company has collective self-delusion.

4. They actually have overunity technology.

I want to deal with each of these possibilities in turn.

They are Lying and they Know It

I suggest this is the most unlikely scenario for a number of reasons. Here are some.

a. It is unlikely that they would have been able to hold together as a company for so long without a key officer, whistleblowing employee or disgruntled investor coming forward to expose them.

b. If they were  faking their technology it is very unlikely that they would have gone through the humiliating London failure. Would a scam company display products that didn’t work?

c. Three professional engineers with reputations to maintain would have had to go on camera and lie that they had tested Steorn’s technology and verify that it was overunity.

d. They would have to meddle with expensive testing equipment to make it display false readings in a live setting

e. They would be brazen enough to put on a six-week public demonstration, inviting anyone to come and test their devices with their own testing equipment (starting next Monday).

f. They would all have to live a lie. Remember, Steorn is a R&D company mainly made up of professionals who would have to put their careers, livelihoods and reputations in jeopardy. If the lie were detected the likelihood of any of them ever being able to be employed in their field again would be very low.

They Think They have Overunity Technology but They Have Made a Mistake

One point of view is that perhaps Steorn have found an interesting magnetic anomaly that looks to them like it might provide free energy – but they are mistaken and in the final analysis their Orbo devices don’t produce more energy than is input. Some thoughts:

a. If they were not certain that their devices were overunity, why go to the trouble of the current demonstration? The have opened themselves up to very critical and careful scrutiny and are inviting people to test them. Would it make sense to do this if they were in any doubt of their claim?

b. Same as point c. above. Why would professional engineers go on camera stating they measured overunity if they were in doubt?

c. Would they expect people to sign up to the SKDB in significant numbers if they were not convinced that they could demonstrate Orbo was OU technology beyond a reasonable doubt? We are still two weeks away from the end of the demo – and Steorn has promised that more validation exercises will become available. Sean McCarthy has mentioned lights on devices, calorimetry testing, magnetic domain testing, independent measuring and electrical energy in/out.

If they were not completely confident of their claims, could they expect to be able to convice the public of them?

They are Insane and Delusional — Out of Touch with Reality

Of course detecting insanity is not always easy and sometimes insanity is decided “in the eye of the beholder”, but one of the things that the public demonstration allows is for people to have an extended period of contact with the individuals who make up the company. They have been meeting and greeting the public, engaging in lectures and discussions. If there were signs of madness among the members – such as irrational or disturbing behavior, it would likely be fairly noticeable. From everything I have seen and learned, these people are acting like a normal company would be expected to act — albeit with an extraordinary claim.

They Have What They Claim: Orbo Technology is Overunity

Now this is certainly not a technical anlysis of Orbo technology. It’s more of review of the circumstantial evidence; but having gone through this process of elimination, and having seen the experiments presented at the demonstration to date, I personally have come to the conclusion that the most logical explanation for Steorn’s actions and activities is that they have developed an overunity technology and at this point I am inclined to agree with Sean McCarthy when he says that Orbo presents an opportunity to change everything.
